Gunnar Cyrén's animal world is among the best he has done. It took off in the late 1970s in connection with a large silver exhibition. He was then asked to make an animal series for the World Wildlife Fund and soon they came forward one by one. Gradually, different producers became interested and over time there were animals in silver-plated metal, in iron, porcelain, crystal...

The Cyrén family continues the work of bringing Gunnar Cyrén's figurines to life. The turtle was originally modeled for Orrefors Glasbruk to be cast in glass.
